I’ve been looking at getting into a kit to build. I’m specifically considering the QRP Labs QCX-mini transceiver kit. I believe that I should use my knowledge to build things – kits first, then working up to my own designs. Sure, it will take time and there will be a lot to learn, but as an amateur radio operator I think I owe it to myself to increase my knowledge and skill. It will enhance my enjoyment of ham radio and especially my enjoyment of QRP operation.
